Nobel Biocare reports European revenue growth

10th February 2010

Nobel Biocare has released its latest financial results, which indicate that the firm performed particularly well in Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EMEA) during 2009.

The group’s reported revenue amounted to 581.4 million euros (511.5 million pounds) during the year, while its operating profit, excluding restructuring charges, stood at 141.6 million euros.

Additionally, its net profit stood at 105.8 million euros, with new product launches during the timeframe including NobelActive and NobelProcera.

Domenico Scala, chief executive officer of the organisation, pointed out that 2009 brought about a decline in the dental market, but added that Nobel Biocare continued to take action to offset the negative effects of this.

“The company is well poised to take advantage of a recovery, early signs of which are emerging in a number of the world’s economies,” Mr Scala added.

In other recent Nobel Biocare news, the company has forged alliances with both Ivoclar Vivadent and VITA Zahnfabrik since the start of 2010, as part of its newly established Preferred Partner Programme.
