Nobel Biocare reports growth in third quarter of 2012

8th November 2012

Nobel Biocare has published its financial report for the third quarter of 2012, during which it experienced year-on-year revenue growth.

The dental supplies manufacturer generated sales of 131 million euros (104.45 million pounds) during the quarter, representing a 2.2 percent increase, while operating profit levels saw a double-digit percentage rise.

Following a difficult period, Nobel Biocare is once again performing on a par with its peers, with implant systems revenue on the rise and investment in research and development receiving a 15 percent boost.

For the first nine months of the year, the company's sales came to 427.5 million euros, which is up by 3.1 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2011.

Richard Laube, chief executive officer at Nobel Biocare, said: "We are becoming systematically more efficient and leaner in conducting our business. We are laying the foundation to perform in all market conditions, which we are confident will eventually improve."

Last month, the firm expanded its product range with the launch of its new OsseoCare Pro drill motor, a safe and efficient device that can be operated using an Apple iPad.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801484626-ADNFCR
