Norbrook Laboratories launches Fiproclear Combo flea and tick treatment
Norbrook Laboratories has announced the launch of Fiproclear Combo, the latest addition to its companion animal portfolio.
This new treatment for the control and prevention of fleas, ticks and biting lice is licensed for use on cats and dogs, and can also be used to treat and prevent fleas and ticks on ferrets.
It combines the active ingredients fipronil and S-methoprene to break the life cycle of fleas, protecting pets and reducing the chances of animals contracting flea or tick-borne diseases such as babesiosis.
Recent market research conducted by the company indicates that almost one-third of cats suffer from ectoparasites, while around the same proportion of dogs are affected by ticks, underlining the demand for new treatments.
This marks the eighth new product launched by Norbrook in the past two years, five of which have been for the companion animal sector.
Richard Palmer, Norbrook's global head of sales and marketing, said: "Norbrook is committed to delivering a strong new product pipeline along with our multi-year GBP 50 million investment programme."
