Norbrook launches new Betafuse skin treatment for dogs
Norbrook Laboratories has announced the launch of Betafuse, a new gel product for treating canine skin conditions, in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
The steroid-based antibiotic preparation is indicated for the treatment of surface pyoderma in dogs, including acute moist dermatitis – also known as hot spots – and intertrigo, or skin fold dermatitis.
It is being made available in 15g and 30g packages with a unique polyfoil tube, designed to reduce the likelihood of splitting and loss of product during use. Additionally, the in-use shelf life has been extended to eight weeks.
A number of product support materials are also being made available, including a guide for dog owners on how to apply Betafuse simply and effectively.
Lizzie Barnard, UK product manager at Norbrook, said: "Betafuse offers the prescribing veterinary surgeon greater choice and it complements our existing companion animal skin care portfolio."
Norbrook has committed to a 40 million pound multi-year investment programme to broaden its capabilities, with this scheme including a significant emphasis on new product development and facilities infrastructure.
