Novartis included in Corporate Knights Global 100

29th January 2014

Novartis has been recognised for its commitment to sustainability through inclusion in the annual Corporate Knights Global 100 list.

A ranking of the 100 most sustainable corporations in the world, the report is compiled annually after assessing companies on a number of social, environmental and governance indicators, such as innovation capacity, employee turnover and leadership diversity.

Companies named in the Global 100 are acknowledged as being the top overall sustainability performers in their respective industries. The list has been published for ten years and has become a gold standard in corporate sustainability analysis.

Joseph Jimenez, chief executive officer of Novartis, said: "Being recognised among the top 100 sustainability performers in the world underscores that doing business responsibly is a core part of Novartis."

This comes after the firm was recently recognised among the 25 best multinational employers by the Great Place to Work Institute and ranked as the top pharmaceutical company in Fortune's list of the world's most admired companies for the third year in a row.

It also received a global corporate citizenship award from the charitable organisation Malaria No More thanks to its ongoing efforts to help control and eliminate the disease.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801687574-ADNFCR
