NPA to host workshops ahead of registration exams

20th April 2010

The National Pharmacy Association (NPA) is to hold revision workshops for trainee pharmacists in the next month, ahead of the coming registration examinations.

Two events, covering the subjects of calculations and the drug tariff, will take place in St Albans in May 2010 and are designed for preregistration trainees in all pharmacy sectors who will be sitting the exams in June or September.

NPA assistant head of education and training Sabina Khanom stated that these events will be taking place in response to increasing demand from trainees and tutors for the organisation to provide support.

She added: “The two revision workshops will be delivered by experienced pharmacists, who will help to improve preparedness for the exams including numerous practice questions to test knowledge.”

Earlier this month, the NPA announced the departure of John Turk from his position as the organisation’s chief executive, stating that he is leaving to “pursue other projects”.
