Nutricia Medical provides support for Wilshire Alzheimer’s patients

27th December 2012

Nutricia Medical has highlighted the success of its recent visit to the Polebarn Club in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, where its staff volunteered time to interact with Alzheimer's disease patients.

Members of the company's human resources (HR) department spent time with the club's Alzheimer's Support group, spending time accompanying them during one of their activity days.

Rachel Woods, HR manager at Nutricia Medical, said the experience was "both humbling and inspiring", urging others based in the area to follow the Nutricia staff's lead by giving some of their time to help out where they can.

She added: "What a fantastic bunch of people at the Polebarn Club, both the members living with Alzheimer's and the amazingly supportive team that ensure a good time is had by all."

This comes after the company supported the Carers UK branches in Sutton Coldfield and Chard last month to help them mark Carers Rights Day.

This involved work to provide better information for carers and their loved ones, empowering them to understand the basics of good nutritional care.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801512901-ADNFCR
