O2’s comms and reputation director wins Suzy Ferguson Spirit Award

23rd March 2015

O2's director of communications and reputation Nicola Green has been recognised for her dedication to others after being named as the winner of this year's Suzy Ferguson Spirit Award.

Ms Green was chosen from a shortlist of five by a panel of judges representing the wider PR industry. The Suzy Ferguson Spirit Award is organised by Lewis PR, Gorkana and Bowel Cancer UK, with the inaugural prize presented to Rosie Warin last year.

The accolade recognises those who have made a difference to others in the industry via their exceptional character, integrity and determination. Ms Green was described as the "unanimous choice" of the judging panel.

She earned praise for the time she dedicates to others, her commitment to mentoring and community work, and the contributions she has made to O2's Think Big programme, which was set up to help nurture the next generation.

Sally O'Neill, international vice-president at Lewis PR and a member of the judging panel, said: "It was really clear to us that she is passionate about helping people to develop in their careers and personal lives as she was helped in her own."

The awards are dedicated to the memory of Suzy Ferguson, a talented former Lewis PR staff member who passed away from bowel cancer in 2012.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801780774-ADNFCR
