Ogilvy highlights agencies’ success at EACA Euro Effies awards
Ogilvy has pointed out that several of its UK agencies performed particularly well at the recent EACA Euro Effies awards in Brussels.
The firm’s advertising department won Gold in the long-term effectiveness category for its Dove Deodorant campaign and also picked up the accolade for Mather Communications’ brand launch for private investment firm Barclays Wealth.
Additionally, it points out, Mather won a special commendation for the Barclays project, which was described as "simple, yet powerful, convincing and impressive" by the judges.
Effie awards are allocated to firms that have followed their campaign goals through to the end, either meeting or exceeding their initial objectives.
Last week, Ogilvy revealed that it had appointed a new chief digital officer for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Patou Nuytemans took up the post with immediate effect and now reports to the company’s vice-chairman Paul O’Donnell.
