Olympus has confirmed that it will be attending the forthcoming European Congress of Pathology, which takes place in Lisbon at the end of the month.

The company will be taking the opportunity to present its latest microscopy solutions, including its new Olympus BX3 range of upright microscopes and the Olympus VS120 virtual slide scanner.

Advantages of the BX3 portfolio include its modular design, ergonomic benefits and range of customisability options, with several models focused on either clinical or research microscopy to be made available.

Meanwhile, the VS120 virtual slide scanner offers good performance in terms of flexibility, resolution and image quality, allowing a high-resolution image of the complete specimen to be created and stored on a globally-accessible central server.

The manufacturer said: "Designed specifically to meet the needs of a range of pathology applications, the systems ensure robust diagnosis and discovery alongside ergonomic operation."
