Open Health to acquire Choice Healthcare Solutions

18th May 2016

Open Health has announced the acquisition of Choice Healthcare Solutions, a move that will strengthen the group's international capabilities.

Choice Healthcare Solutions is a medical comms agency with offices in London, Chicago and Dubai. Formed in 2000, the business's brand will be phased out following the acquisition, which will see it become part of Open Health's Succinct Medical Communications unit.

Open Health is owned by Chime Communications, which is pursuing a global growth strategy following its acquisition by US private equity firm Providence last year, reports PRWeek.

Currently, the Open Health group encompasses LEC Brand Communications, Reynolds-MacKenzie, pH Associates and other brands alongside Succinct, which was purchased in 2012. Choice Healthcare Solutions' 40-strong staff will join Succinct following this latest takeover.

Sandy Royden, Open Health's chief operating officer, said: "The acquisition of Choice Healthcare Solutions is a pivotal step in strengthening our international offering in this space and adds world-leading global publication planning to our growing portfolio."

Succinct chief executive officer Rob Barker will take charge of the new business as part of his existing responsibilities.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801818646-ADNFCR
