Orthofix and MTF launch Trinity Elite Allograft

3rd July 2013

Orthofix has announced the full market release of the Trinity Elite Allograft, which it has developed in partnership with the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation (MTF).

The device is equipped with Viable Cells and VersaShield Amniotic Membrane tissue forms and is fully mouldable by the user, thanks to the incorporation of proprietary technology created by MTF.

Initial applications of the product shows that it allows more graft material to be packed into a disc space during various procedures, while it can also serve the needs of surgeons who wish to apply a cell-based allograft to the lateral gutter and lay it flat along the transverse process.

Orthofix president and chief executive officer Brad Mason said: "Orthofix has long maintained its commitment to co-developing and commercialising such exciting technology with MTF and we plan to continue being innovators in this space."

This comes after the firm announced plans to reorganise the structure of its business last month, with the appointment of new executive team members and the realignment of several divisions.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801607728-ADNFCR
