Orthofix launches Forza spinal spacer system
Orthofix is launching a new spinal spacer system for use in posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) and transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) techniques.
The Forza system is a next-generation bulleted device that features chamfered edges, allowing the surgeon to rotate the implant as needed, while its modular inserter means it can be held at a variety of angles.
Its uniquely designed instruments are designed to improve surgical efficiency during PLIF/TLIF procedures, making the product a strategically important offering from Orthofix.
Robert Vaters, president and chief executive officer at Orthofix, said: "We believe our improving product offering of repair implants, along with our regenerative biologics and stimulation solutions, provide a value proposition that is unmatched in the industry."
Last week, the firm announced the launch of VersaShield, a new amniotic membrane for wound dressing developed in partnership with the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation (MTF).
The company also confirmed that it will ally with MTF again next year to introduce Trinity Elite, the successor to its current Trinity Evolution offering.
