Orthofix names new member of the board
Orthofix has announced the appointment of experienced healthcare industry professional Lilly Marks to its board of directors.
Ms Marks can boast more than three decades of major healthcare system provider experience. She currently serves as vice-president for health affairs for the University of Colorado and previously led the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
She has also served as chairman of the board of directors for the University of Colorado Hospital and as both the senior associate dean for finance and administration of the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the executive director of University Physicians.
The new board member is a frequent speaker in the US regarding medical school economics, healthcare and clinical practice management and leadership issues in academic medicine.
Ron Matricaria, chairman of the board of Orthofix, said: "We are very pleased Lilly is joining the Orthofix board of directors. Her vast experience from the healthcare provider perspective and strong finance background will be a great asset to the company."
The firm is anticipating future growth following the recent acquisition of eNeura, a pioneer in the use of portable transcranial magnetic stimulation devices for the treatment of migraine headache.
