Owen Mumford opens new regional hub in Malaysia

Owen Mumford has accelerated its global expansion efforts with the opening of a new regional hub in Nusajaya in the south of Malaysia.

The opening of the new site provides the company with additional resources to better serve its customers worldwide by enhancing its packaging services and providing additional warehousing within the region.

It is set to be up and running in September of this year, further growing a worldwide network that also includes regional subsidiaries in the UK, US, France, Germany, China and Mexico.

Paula Staples, Asia Pacific programme director at Owen Mumford, said: "We … are truly excited to be extending Owen Mumford's global reach with our innovative products, designed to improve lives and reduce healthcare costs."

The Oxford-based business also announced the appointment of Lidia Carrera as country manager for its Mexican operations earlier this month.

It has identified the region as a key priority, as the Mexican pharmaceutical market is now the second largest in Latin America.
