Owen Mumford recognised for contributions to Cotswold economy

8th July 2016

Owen Mumford has been recognised for the considerable contributions it makes to the Cotswolds region at a local awards ceremony.

The company was the winner of the prize for outstanding contribution to the local or national economy at the fourth annual Cotswold Life Family Business Awards, which honours businesses that play a key role in supporting the economy.

Owen Mumford is well-known locally for carrying out fundraising projects such as its annual cricket match, which recently raised 794 pounds for the male cancer charity Orchid.

Overall, the UK's family company sector supports 9.2 million jobs and makes up almost one-quarter of the country's total GDP, and Owen Mumford is keen to ensure it plays its part in keeping this up.

Adam Mumford, director of Owen Mumford, said: "I am absolutely delighted to win this award, because it is important for us to be part of a vibrant and sustainable local economy, and it's a real pleasure to be recognised as giving something back."

The company was also recently shortlisted as one of the finalists for the Sustainable Manufacturing Awards, which will be presented in September 2016.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801821553-ADNFCR
