Owen Mumford welcomes Duke of Gloucester for visit to headquarters
Owen Mumford has welcomed HRH The Duke of Gloucester for a recent visit to its head office in Woodstock.
The company, which is sponsoring the Schools Programme at the 2016 Blenheim Festival of Literature, Film and Music, received a visit from the royal as part of the festival, during which the Duke was able to learn more about the company and its products.
Owen Mumford's chairman Mark Owen, director Adam Mumford and managing director Jarl Severn explained the history of the business and demonstrated key drug delivery devices and diagnostic products such as Unistik 3, Unifine Pentips Plus, Autopen and Autolet Plus to their guest.
The Duke was given a tour of the firm's research and development division, where he spoke with members of the design team and saw work being carried out on a new generation of products.
He then got a chance to see Owen Mumford's lancet manufacturing facilities, meeting Mike Bridgeman and Chris Ball, the individuals in charge of the production of the Unistik 3 and Unilet safety and standard lancets.
The Duke's private secretary Lt Col Alastair Todd, vice lord-lieutenant of Oxfordshire John Harwood and festival deputy chair Jill Dunsmore were also present for this official visit.
