Pentax Medical launches new Defina pulmonology endoscopy system

Pentax Medical has announced the launch of its new Defina pulmonology endoscopy system in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The system combines a state-of-the art high-definition processor with i-scan imaging technology and two highly manoeuvrable bronchoscopes, delivering high-definition image quality to support clinical outcomes across a range of diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

It enables rapid and highly detailed visualisation for the improved evaluation of anatomical details of the bronchial mucosa, making it possible to assess suspicious areas and characterise abnormalities to support therapeutic decisions.

The use of disposable accessories reduces the risk of cross-contamination, while it is also STERRAD compatible, ensuring that it is clear of multidrug-resistant and extreme drug-resistant Mycobacterium.

Meanwhile, the two HD EB15-J10 and EB19-J10 bronchoscopes offer an ergonomic, lightweight design for the greatest possible ease of operation.
