Pentax Medical presents new endoscopic technologies at UEG Week 2016
Pentax Medical has demonstrated a number of endoscopy technology innovations at the United European Gastroenterology (UEG) week event in Vienna.
Running from October 17th to 19th, the event provided Pentax Medical with an opportunity to showcase its innovative new Optivista and Scopepilot products and discuss how they can be used to support the clinical pathway and increase efficiency.
New offerings included the Optivista EPK-i7010 High-Definition video processor, a world-first for endoscopy that provides both digital and optical enhancements on the same platform, offering extra information for more accurate endoscopic in vivo diagnosis.
Also on display was the Scopepilot 33D Colon Navigation System, which delivers a true 3D real-time representation of an endoscope's position inside the bowel tract with pinpoint accuracy, allowing for effective insertion tracking and colonic loop management.
Mariuccia Zambelli, general manager for marketing and business development for Pentax Medical in Europe, said: "This year we have introduced a number of exciting new products to enhance our support of gastrointestinal consultants; already these consultants are noting a marked effect in their diagnostic possibilities through their use of our new technologies."
