PerkinElmer integrates ELN with Elsevier’s Reaxys solution

PerkinElmer has agreed a new collaboration with Elsevier to bring its Reaxys workflow solution to the company's electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) offering.

Thanks to the new partnership, users of the PerkinElmer ELN can now seamlessly access Reaxys content for no additional charge to existing customers of both systems.

Reaxys is a web-based workflow solution designed for chemistry researchers in drug discovery, chemicals and academic research, allowing users to carry out chemical searches that can now be inserted directly into pre-designed experiments using PerkinElmer's ELN.

Michael Stapleton, general manager for PerkinElmer Informatics, said: "The interoperability of our ELN and Elsevier's Reaxys provides researchers with access to extensive information on chemical compounds and related physical and pharmacological properties so that they can make better decisions."

Earlier this month, the company announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2012, during which it experienced a nine percent year-on-year increase in sales thanks to the expansion of its range of innovative and higher-value products.
