PerkinElmer launches IVIS Lumina series III for in vivo imaging

22nd January 2013

PerkinElmer has announced the launch of IVIS Lumina series III, a new imaging platform that aims to deliver improved ease of use across a range of life science applications.

The system can be used for oncology, infectious disease, drug discovery, efficacy and toxicology research and is available in four models for various uses in fluorescent and bioluminescent in vivo imaging.

Its benchtop platform can perform multiple modalities, allowing anatomical, functional and molecular endpoints to be generated non-invasively and simultaneously, which leads to the production of unique and powerful datasets.

Key functional events are incorporated alongside sensitive detection and tailored specifications, meaning images can be acquired at multiple wavelengths.

The company said: "The new IVIS Lumina series III integrates leading bioluminescence and full spectral fluorescence in vivo imaging technologies, providing an expandable and sensitive benchtop imaging system that is easy to use."

Earlier this week, PerkinElmer also introduced its new Janus BioTx Pro automated workstation, for use in improved process development of protein therapeutics.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801526765-ADNFCR
