PerkinElmer launches new Flexar PDA Plus Detector

28th June 2013

PerkinElmer has announced the launch of its new Flexar PDA Plus Detector for use in the analysis of environmental, food, pharmaceutical and chemical samples.

Described by its manufacturer as the most optically advanced photo diode array (PDA) detector on the market, the device features a modular design, rapid sampling speeds and a strong performance in terms of sensitivity and accuracy.

It can offer the widest detection range of any PDA detector and is even able to outperform many conventional ultraviolet detectors, with other benefits including its high data acquisition rates, liquid core waveguide, superior wavelength accuracy and low baseline noise.

This new addition to the PerkinElmer Flexar liquid chromatography product range enables labs to conform to industry regulations and meet demand for higher throughput.

A statement from the company said: "The Flexar PDA Plus is also well-suited for tandem use with other detectors and compatible with PerkinElmer Chromera, TotalChrom and third-party chromatography data systems."

This comes after PerkinElmer introduced a next-generation tandem mass spectrometer offering called the AxION iQT earlier this month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801605675-ADNFCR
