20th October 2009

PerkinElmer has launched its new EnSpire multi-label plate reader on to the scientific equipment market.

Marking the expansion of its multi-label reader range, EnSpire boasts ultra sensitive luminescence detection, which provides researchers with enhanced capabilities to improve assay performance and sensitivity.

EnSpire includes a configurable plate reader for high-performance detection and is adaptable for use in laboratories of many sizes with diverse research applications.

It also is suitable for scientists working with primary or stem cells in cancer and neuropharmacology research.

"The EnSpire platform, now with luminescence detection, enhances outcomes for those researchers running luminescence studies, particularly cell proliferation, cytotoxicity, and reporter gene assays," explained Nance Hall, vice-president and general manager of automation and detection solutions at PerkinElmer.

Last week, PerkinElmer showcased several new products it has designed to improve the speed and effectiveness of research for neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis.
