PerkinElmer launches new OneSource Scientific IT Services

PerkinElmer has announced the launch of its new OneSource Scientific IT Services offering, which is aimed at improving laboratory productivity.

The brand encompasses a suite of informatics-based consulting, planning and management offerings that will help bridge the gap between lab instruments and IT efficiency, with significant technical and industry expertise underpinning the services.

Lab Computing Services, Computer Systems Validation, Scientific Applications Services and Scientific Data Services are among the individual offerings, all of which will help laboratory staff to make discoveries more effectively.

The new products come as part of the company's growing OneSource Laboratory Services portfolio, which is used in the management of more than 400,000 laboratory assets in over 120 countries.

Dusty Tenney, president for analytical sciences and laboratory services at PerkinElmer, said: "By identifying scientific IT needs and providing ongoing solutions and support expertise, we deliver holistic lab management capabilities and help organisations make effective decisions about workflow and technology deployments."

Earlier this month, the company announced plans to create a new personalised health innovation centre of excellence in Massachusetts to develop new human health research solutions.
