PerkinElmer launches new QSight 210 MD System

PerkinElmer has announced the launch of the QSight 210 MD system, a new high-throughput mass spectrometry-based clinical solution.

The system is designed for routine quantitation in laboratory settings and incorporates tandem mass spectrometry (MSMS) technology to make it possible to run hundreds of samples per day. 

Key design features include the use of Simplicity 3Q MD software that uses a simple three-step process to set up and run a method, as well as an onboard MSMS Workstation database oriented for simplifying data review and analysis and reducing errors.

Meanwhile, the StayClean source design offers a self-cleaning mechanism to reduce downtime and eliminate daily maintenance, while the remote instrument diagnostics capability helps to ensure optimal instrument use.

Dr Linh Hoang, vice-president of neonatal screening at PerkinElmer, said: "Expanded testing with MSMS instrumentation is occurring in 35 countries globally, and growing. Laboratories throughout the world continue to implement this technology to expand testing and to increase their productivity by running more samples in less time."
