PerkinElmer launches Vectra 3 pathology imaging system
PerkinElmer has announced the launch of its new Vectra 3 System for quantitative pathology imaging research.
The automated high-throughput system offers seven-colour multiplexing and visualisation capabilities, providing key insights into disease mechanisms related to new cancer immunotherapy approaches.
It visualises, analyses, quantifies and phenotypes immune cells in situ in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, while allowing researchers to annotate and navigate slides with interactive interfaces to better identify regions of interest.
Meanwhile, its seven-colour multiplexing capability enables identification and quantification of multiple biomarkers, revealing spatial context within a digital workflow and helping to accelerate decision-making processes.
Brian Kim, president of life sciences and technology at PerkinElmer, said: "This new system provides an innovative approach to help researchers more deeply analyse cancer mechanisms and potentially develop breakthrough immunotherapies for better health outcomes."
The company is showcasing its latest flat panel X-ray imaging innovations at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America, which is taking place in Chicago this week.
