PerkinElmer to host Revolutionaries for Global Health Summit events
PerkinElmer is organising a series of global summits that will bring together healthcare stakeholders in order to promote innovation in the fight against critical diseases.
The Revolutionaries for Global Health Summit events commence this week with a conference in Boston, with the next summit to take place in London on June 12th 2012.
Four further meetings will be held in other parts of the world – including China and Japan – during August, October and November, with political leaders, medical experts and company representatives due to give talks.
During these summits, attendees will discuss areas of research such as biotherapeutics, next-generation sequencing, imaging, biomarkers and targeted small molecule drug discovery.
Kevin Hrusovsky, president for life sciences and technology at PerkinElmer, said: "We will have scientists, doctors, caregivers, government representatives and patients assembled together to kick off this global campaign to improve health through preventative practices, as well as early detection and next-generation treatments."
Last month, the company attended the American Society for Mass Spectrometry's annual conference, during which it demonstrated its latest advances in easy-to-use, rapid mass spectrometry solutions.
