Perrigo names new president and chief executive officer

Perrigo has announced the appointment of Uwe Rohrhoff as its new president chief executive officer (CEO), effective as of January 15th 2018.

Mr Rohrhoff will bring to the role more than 25 years of experience accrued with Gerresheimer, a leading global manufacturer of pharmaceutical packaging products and medical devices, including seven years spent as its CEO.

During this time, he led an organisation operating 36 manufacturing facilities across 14 countries, delivering products to 1,500 customers, including the ten largest global pharmaceutical companies.

Perrigo chairman Laurie Brlas said: "We are confident that his leadership style and industry, financial and operational expertise are the right fit for Perrigo."

Mr Rohrhoff has been appointed as the successor to John Hendrickson, who will step down as CEO and as a board member on January 15th, but will remain with the business until March 15th to help ensure a smooth transition.

The company has paid tribute to Mr Hendrickson's significant contributions to the Perrigo business over the last 28 years, and thanked him for his support during the transition.
