Petplan adds rising star category to 2016 Veterinary Awards

Petplan has announced the addition of a rising star category to its 2016 Veterinary Awards, its annual awards ceremony celebrating achievement in the UK animal health sector.

Returning for its 17th year in 2016, the event will add a new category recognising individuals rising within their current practices, showing great aptitude and showing substantial growth within a relatively short period of time.

The accolade will be presented to employees with less than two years of experience who have initiated, coordinated and accomplished a new or improved activity or process during 2015, while demonstrating compassion, competence, communication and commitment.

Petplan will hold the awards ceremony on April 7th 2016, with nominations accepted up until the end of January.

James Barnes, head of sales and partnerships at Petplan, said: "These awards are an opportunity for pet owners to say a heartfelt thank you for the support veterinary staff provide to the animals in their care."
