Pfizer Animal Health to sponsor event at Livestock 2012

23rd August 2012

Pfizer Animal Health has been named as the main sponsor of the National All Breeds Show at Livestock 2012 in Birmingham.

The company has signed up to sponsor this event for the next three years and will be sending members of the company's 12-strong team of livestock vets to discuss animal health matters with attendees, reports Farmers Weekly.

Steve Mead from Pfizer Animal Health said the company will be focused on promoting better health, rather than disease treatment, during the event.

Representatives of the firm will be stationed both at the All Breeds show ring and at the main exhibition hall, and will be fielding questions from farmers, vets and industry representatives.

This will reinforce the firm's commitment to farmers, veterinary practices and medicine suppliers, as well as their wider Healthy Herds for Healthy Profits initiative.

Earlier this month, it was announced that parent company Pfizer has filed an initial public offering registration statement for its animal health business, which is set to be spun out into an independent entity called Zoetis.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801435435-ADNFCR
