Pfizer announces new president of global supply division

24th November 2016

Pfizer has announced the appointment of Kirsten Lund-Jurgensen as executive vice-president and president of Pfizer Global Supply.

Ms Lund-Jurgensen will take over the role on December 30th and currently serves as vice-president for innovative health product portfolio management and consumer operations. She has been with the company since 1999.

The company's current global supply president Anthony Maddaluna has announced his retirement after a career with Pfizer spanning more than four decades.

He originally joined Pfizer in 1975 and, over the course of his time with the company, has held several positions of increasing responsibility, becoming president of Pfizer Global Supply in 2011.

Ian Read, chairman and chief executive officer of Pfizer, said: "Her wealth of knowledge, extensive operational experience and solid track record of delivering results make her an excellent choice for the leader of our supply organisation."

This comes after the firm appointed Dr Ole Isacson as its new senior vice-president and chief scientific officer of its neuroscience research unit in September.
