Phadia opens nominations for its annual award

Phadia has announced that the nomination process for its annual PhARF (Phadia Allergy Research Forum) Award is now open to the scientific community.

Candidates for the 2010 installation of the accolade can now be voted for through the firm’s website by individuals who will be no older than the age of 45 next year.

The PhARF award is sponsored by Phadia, has been running since 1987 and is offered to a young scientist who has made outstanding contributions to the field of allergies using creative and independent research methods.

A monetary prize of $50,000 (30,374 pounds) accompanies the accolade, which is presented in connection with the World Allergy Organisation and/or the European Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

The deadline for applications is December 31st 2009.

Phadia, which specialises in the development and manufacturing of complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases, supplies seven out of ten allergy laboratory tests worldwide.
