Philips introduces Alice NightOne sleep disorder diagnostic system
Philips has announced the introduction of a new at-home sleep testing system that will make it easier to diagnose sleep-related disorders.
Fully compatible with the Philips Somnolyzer scoring solution, the system offers minimal sensor technology and intuitive icons, making it easy for patients to set up themselves, while limiting discomfort during sleep.
Its Smart Guide technology provides step-by-step instructions and feedback to ensure all functions are working properly, reducing the chance of patient error. It provides the data necessary to differentiate between obstructive, central and positional sleep apnoea.
This offers numerous benefits over conventional laboratory-based sleep testing or polysomnography, which can pose challenges due to limited availability and high costs.
Dr Teofilo Lee-Chiong, chief medical liaison at Philips, said: "This latest, intuitive testing option allows reliable and accurate diagnosis of sleep disordered breathing that is more accessible and efficient."
This comes after the firm introduced a new on-demand ultrasound service, billed as the first of its kind, earlier this month.
