Philips launches new on-demand ultrasound service in the UK

Philips has announced the UK launch of a new on-demand ultrasound service that it believes is the first of its kind.

Ultrasound on Demand is being rolled out nationally starting this week and provides users with access to more than 50 technology options for an affordable monthly fee.

The various high-spec ultrasound packages are charged for when used, making it easier to track utilisation, while also providing access to advanced facilities such as 3D abdominal scanning without prohibitive upfront investment costs.

Ultrasound on Demand has been tested and modelled to establish the full scope and range of work that it can deliver, with further data to be collected from the initial rollout to help drive further improvements later down the line.
