Philips Oral Healthcare launches FlexCare+

8th October 2009

Philips Oral Healthcare’s new product – the SoniCare FlexCare+ toothbrush – has been introduced to the dental care market.

The toothbrush, which is designed to encourage patients to pay more attention and allocate more time to brushing, is the firm’s most advanced product of its kind, it claims.

An enhanced feature it boasts is its new Gum Care mode, which provides two minutes of overall cleaning followed by one minute of gentle cleaning.

This, Philips states, has been clinically proven to improve gingival health in two weeks, helps to prevent gum recession and reduces bleeding sites by 71 per cent in four weeks.

Doctor Hal Crossley, professor at the University of Maryland Dental School, said: “The new SoniCare FlexCare+ has been proven to encourage patients to brush longer and more thoroughly at home for improved gum health, with the superior plaque biofilm removal that SoniCare has always delivered.”

Another Philips Oral Healthcare product to have been in the news lately is the SoniCare for Kids electric toothbrush, which was praised last month by the Celebrity Baby Blog for encouraging children to pay extra attention to their teeth.
