Philips unveils oncology informatics platform IntelliSpace Oncology
Philips has introduced a new integrated oncology informatics solution called IntelliSpace Oncology at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) annual meeting.
During the conference in Chicago, the company showcased the features of the new cloud-based oncology decision support solution, which provides seamless data integration across different specialties and locations.
Available through a single-view dashboard, the system also offers tools for data-driven decision-making and proactive patient involvement, enabling patient-centric care through the use of genomics-informed clinical decision support and clinical trial matching tools.
Other key features include its data mining and analytics capabilities, allowing hospital cancer records to be integrated into an extensive patient database.
The system was developed with the cooperation of Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands, which has already shown through an ongoing pilot study that IntelliSpace Oncology can improve speed and adherence when used in colorectal cancer tumour boards.
Yair Briman, business leader for healthcare informatics at Philips, said: "Philips is committed to collaborating with key thought leaders in oncology to develop innovative digital solutions that offer connected care and more personalised treatment for cancer patients."
