Phonak launches new rechargeable and custom titanium BTE hearing aids
Phonak has announced the launch of two new behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids incorporating innovative technology advances.
The first of these, Bolero B-PR, is a lithium-ion rechargeable hearing aid that can deliver 24 hours of hearing with a single charge. This comes only six months after the introduction of the Audeo B-R rechargeable device.
It will build on the established success of Audeo B-R, with nine out of ten wearers saying they were very satisfied with its battery life, while 88 percent of hearing care professionals would recommend the rechargeable technology to their colleagues.
Meanwhile, the company will also be introducing the Virto B-Titanium device, which utilises the inherent manufacturing benefits of titanium to create the smallest custom instrument Phonak has ever produced.
Because the material is both durable and lightweight, Virto B-Titanium's shell is half as thin as traditional models, reducing the overall size and increasing invisible-in-the-canal fit rates by 64 percent.
Thomas Lang, senior vice-president of marketing at Phonak, said: "More than ever, these new products reinforce Phonak's commitment to fast-paced innovation, ease of use and improved quality of life."
