Phonak rolls out new version of Target software for hearing aid fitting

15th March 2017

Phonak is rolling out version 5.1 of the Phonak Target fitting software for its range of hearing instruments.

The new software is designed as an enhancement to the TargetMatch automated guidance system for real-ear and Testbox measurements, which was originally developed by Phonak in collaboration with Otometrics.

It provides a number of new features and functionality enhancements, offering greater accuracy and precision than traditional verification standards by matching targets within three decibels of the calculated ideal across the frequency range.

TargetMatch has already been shown to outperform traditional non-integrated real-ear measurement fittings in terms of target matching and testing and retesting reliability, and this new software will help to accentuate these advantages.

Solange Anderson, audiology manager for fitting software at Phonak, said: "Hearing care professionals will be able to positively impact overall patient satisfaction and loyalty, reduce follow-up visits and offer a better fitting experience for clients when using TargetMatch."
