Pierre Fabre’s new chief executive officer takes up role

Pierre Fabre has announced that Olivier Bohuon has taken over as the company's new chief executive officer.

Mr Bohuon, who has also been appointed president of Pierre Fabre Medicament, assumed his responsibilities on September 1st 2010 following a meeting of the board of directors, chaired by Mr Pierre Fabre.

The move was announced in July and sees Mr Bohuon take over from Jean-Pierre Garnier.

Prior to joining Pierre Fabre, Mr Bohuon served as executive vice-president of Abbott and president of its pharmaceuticals division, while he has also previously occupied key roles at GlaxoSmithKline.

He is a member of France's National Pharmacy Academy and the Academy of Technologies, as well as being a knight of the Legion d'Honneur.

On his initial selection, Mr Bouhon stated: "I will head the group in close collaboration with its chairman and founder and we will jointly pave the future – my action will be registered in the long run."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800054417-ADNFCR
