Planmeca Oy agrees dental equipment delivery deal

7th May 2010

Finnish dental equipment manufacturer Planmeca Oy has agreed a deal to supply its products to a leading European institution.

It will supply Bernhard Gottlieb University Clinic of Dentistry – part of the Medical University of Vienna – with 74 Planmeca Compact i dental units with balanced instrument arms.

These will all be fitted with the company’s SingLED operating lights, Planmeca Oy revealed, adding that the installation of the units will take place over the remainder of 2010 and into 2011.

Delivering equipment to universities is a key focus for the firm, which has made in excess of 30 million euros over the past four years from such orders.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to offer our leading innovations and best possible ergonomic solutions for the dental professionals of the future,” said Heikki Kyostila, president of Planmeca Oy.

Last April, the company agreed the fourth delivery in its major deal with Hong Kong’s Prince Philip Medical Hospital.
