Porter Novelli appoints new global PR leader

30th November 2010

Public relations company Porter Novelli has revealed that it has appointed a new executive member of staff for its Washington offices.

Communications strategist Debra Cabral is to join the agency as executive vice-president and is to be responsible for growing new business, managing the client portfolio and advising other members of staff.

She comes to the firm having amassed 25 years' experience at companies such as Financial Dynamics, HealthNet Federal Services and the National Association of Chain Drug Stores.

Kiki McLean from Porter Novelli Public Services said Ms Cabral will be a key player across all practice areas, adding that the firm is "thrilled" to have her on board.

"Debra Cabral's record of winning strategy formulation and client service makes her the ideal addition to our senior leadership committee," she explained.

Earlier in 2010, Porter Novelli won an industry prize at the PRWeek Awards for its work in creating a healthcare awareness campaign for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
