Portland Health names new partner to lead US expansion
Portland Health has announced the appointment of Andrew Jackson, a Washington-based leader in health communications, as a new partner.
Mr Jackson will lead the London-based agency's US offering, working alongside the wider business as it continues to expand globally and helping the firm to grow its footprint in the strategically important American market.
He offers more than 20 years of healthcare advocacy and public affairs experience, having occupied leadership positions spanning multiple agencies, medical societies and associations, and has also led work for pharmaceutical companies, device manufacturers, medical professional societies, trade associations and patient advocacy groups.
Additionally, Mr Jackson can boast extensive public affairs and government relations experience, with clients including large corporations, foreign governments, federal agencies, state governments and not-for-profit organisations.
Dr Jane Brearley, partner and head of Portland's global health team, said: "The rapid growth of our business, both in terms of diversity of clients and geographies, means that expanding our offering into the US is the next stage in our development."
