PrettyGreen confirmed as Nintendo’s retained PR agency
PrettyGreen has confirmed that it has been selected as the new retained PR agency of Nintendo UK.
Following a pitching process handled by agency-client intermediary AAR, PrettyGreen has taken over the account from 77PR, the consumer arm of Fishburn, which will continue to handle European and corporate communications.
PrettyGreen will handle integrated campaign support and press office functions for Nintendo, beginning with the launch of the company's squid-themed online shooting game Splatoon, which is being released for the Wii U in May.
The agency will be able to leverage its experience of working with gaming companies such as EA and Maxis, as well as other high-profile brands such as Cadbury, Deezer, Nando's, Red Bull and Virgin Media.
Over the coming months, the companies will work together to develop campaigns to promote the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS platforms.
Nintendo's head of communications Jo Bartlett said: "They've shown themselves to be creative and strategic in their thinking and we're looking forward to working with them to deliver some fantastic campaigns."
