Promote PR appoints new managing director

Promote PR has announced the appointment of Nasima Hussain as its new managing director.

Ms Hussain joined the sport, fitness and wellbeing agency as managing partner earlier this year, and will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the agency following this promotion, reports PRWeek.

Prior to joining Promote in March, she worked on a freelance basis, while before this she served as managing partner at Speed Communications, as head of Bray Leino's consumer and lifestyle division, and as director for consumer brands at Grayling.

Meanwhile, the agency's founder Sue Anstiss has taken on the role of chief executive officer following this move.

Ms Hussain said: "As physical activity and wellness continue to be a priority for the nation, Promote is the agency best placed to support organisations and brands striving to get more people more active, more often."

Promote recently announced a series of new business wins, including the London FA and Action for Charity's Ride the Night and Walk the Night events.
