ProStrakan has announced that Alan Walker, vice-president of global commercial operations at the company, has resigned from his position on the board of directors at the firm and will leave the company with the intention of pursuing external interests.
Mr Walker joined the firm in 2001 and the board in 2006, having responsibility for business development and European sales and marketing operations.
He will be replaced in these roles by Dr Tom Stratford, had of global business development, Mark Webster, vice-president of global strategic marketing and North America and Abid Karim, head of European commercial operations, all of whom will report to chief executive Dr Wilson Totten.
Peter Allen, chairman of the firm said: “Alan’s contribution to his role and to the board has been immeasurable and, on behalf of the board, I would like to thank him for this significant contribution to ProStrakan and to wish him well with his future plans.”
Mr Walker said that in his seven years at the company he has seen it develop into a fully-fledged international pharmaceutical firm and he is proud to have been involved in this growth.
Earlier this month, ProStrakan issued a business and trading update for the year ended December 2007, reporting “strong progress” ahead of the publication of its preliminary results in March.
