Protexin launches Digestive Health Drive for dogs

10th April 2014

Protexin has launched a new campaign aimed at increasing awareness of digestive health issues affecting domestic dogs.

To coincide with the new Digestive Health Drive, the company released results from a survey showing that half of vets state that up to 20 per cent of non-routine consultations involving canines were as a result of diarrhoea, with one-quarter admitting nearly one-third of dogs they saw were presenting with digestive problems.

Moreover, nearly 25 percent believe they have seen an increase in diarrhoea cases in the last year. As such, Protexin has introduced its new campaign to raise awareness of digestive upsets in dogs and educate owners on the course of action they should follow.

It will be producing educational marketing material to promote its product Pro-Kolin Plus, including the launch of a new website. The Digestive Health Drive will run from June to the end of September 2014.

Kate Rouse, marketing manager at Protexin Veterinary, said: "The new Digestive Health Drive will help raise awareness of digestive upsets in dogs and show owners the course of action they should take if their pet has diarrhoea."

Pro-Kolin Plus contains probiotics, prebiotics, kaolin and pectin and is designed specifically for animals with digestive upsets due to an intestinal dysbiosis.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801711790-ADNFCR
