Protexin wins Queen’s Award for Enterprise for second time
Protexin has been presented with its second consecutive Queen's Award for Enterprise, recognising the success of the business over the last half-decade.
The accolades are presented to UK companies that demonstrate outstanding business achievement in international trade, innovation and sustainable development, and are valid for five years.
Protexin previously claimed a prize in 2011 and has once again been recognised after continuing to demonstrate strong international growth and success as a business in the years since then.
Since 2011, its export sales have tripled, meaning international trade now accounts for 60 percent of its business across more than 80 countries.
Toby Lewis, managing director of Protexin, said: "To be recognised for a second time in 2016 really is exceptional; it is testimony to the hard work of everyone that has worked within and outside of the company and the loyalty of our wonderful customers."
It comes after the firm was presented with a two-star rating from Best Companies earlier this year, further underlining the strength of the company's reputation.
