Qiagen launches next-generation sequencing products at AACR 2014

10th April 2014

Qiagen has announced the introduction of two new products addressing workflow challenges in next-generation sequencing at the 2014 American Association for Cancer Research annual meeting.

The first of these is the innovative QIAxpert instrument, which can accelerate quantification and quality control of DNA and RNA samples thanks to its easy-to-use software and analysis aiding sample-to-insight workflows.

Peer Schatz, chief executive officer of Qiagen, said: "QIAxpert and QIAxcel can assure the highest sample quality, saving time and costs by reducing the risk of having to repeat next-generation sequencing experiments, and thus helping laboratories to generate valuable insights."

Meanwhile, the new CLC Cancer Research Workbench was also introduced, representing the first complete bioinformatics software suite for rapid analysis, user-friendly visualisation and accurate interpretation of advanced sequencing data in cancer research.

It can be used to identify prognostic markers and sub-clonal somatic mutations, as well as detecting inherited traits, biomarkers for drug response and new oncogenes.

This follows the launch of the GeneRead DNA FFPE Kit, REPLI-g WTA Single Cell Kit, REPLI-g Cell WGA and WTA Kit, and Exosome sample-preparation kits earlier this year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801711627-ADNFCR
