Quintiles launches new clinical trial enrolment system

18th February 2010

Quintiles has launched a new web-based service designed to assist pharmaceutical companies in the efficient enrolment of patients for clinical trials.

The biopharmaceutical services company has introduced Quintiles Trial Enrolment Accelerator, which allows firms to create recruitment materials, access the firm’s patient database and take advantage of local media.

As a result, Quintiles states that this will help companies to avoid losing revenue due to unnecessary delays to the drug development process.

Chris Cabell, senior vice-president for the access to patients unit of Quintiles, said its system is preferable to individual sites conducting trial recruitment, as this can lead to inefficiency and poor returns.

He added that its system offers “greater return on investment, faster patient recruitment and real-time reporting for visibility into program success”.

Earlier this month, Quintiles was named in Training magazine’s Training Top 125 list in recognition of the high standard of its employee tutelage and development schemes.
