Quintiles launches Queen Mary University research site

13th July 2011

Quintiles has announced the official opening of its latest clinical research facility, located within Queen Mary, University of London.

The dedicated site will allow the biopharmaceutical services company to work with Queen Mary scientists to improve its research and clinical trial recruitment capabilities.

It is the latest facility to be opened as part of Quintiles' prime site programme, which involves large clinical institutions collaborating with the company to drive productivity and excellence.

Queen Mary was the first participant in this scheme back in 2007, recruiting more than ten percent of UK patients enrolled in Quintiles studies so far this year.

Lindy Jones, global head of integrated site services at the company, said: "We are proud to be working with the team at Queen Mary to further enhance our ability to recruit patients and investigators who are critical to an efficient and effective drug development process."

This week, Quintiles also sponsored a new Economist Intelligence Unit survey noting the pressing need for pharmaceutical industry innovation in the face of challenging conditions in the sector.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800620581-ADNFCR
